We built this tool because we've seen how hard billers work — and how little support you get when something breaks. If you've got a question, we've got time for you.
I built Denial Decoder because I watched a billing team spend an entire afternoon trying to decode a cluster of CO-151 denials that should have taken minutes. The information existed — scattered across CMS PDFs and outdated web results — but nobody had put it in a format that matched the speed billers actually need.
This isn't a venture-backed startup with 200 employees. It's a focused tool built by a small team on the Gulf Coast that believes billing professionals deserve better than a Google search and a prayer. If something isn't working, I want to know. If something is working, I want to hear that too.
Most of the questions we get fall into these five categories. Your answer might already be here.
The bot never sees Protected Health Information. Before sending a photo of an ERA, you crop out the patient header — name, DOB, ID numbers. What's left are billing codes and dollar amounts, which is administrative data, not PHI.
It's functionally identical to texting a colleague: "Hey, what do I do with CO-197?" That's not a HIPAA violation. Neither is this.
No BAA required. No IT approval needed. No compliance committee. Read our full Privacy Policy for the detailed breakdown.
Denial Decoder is a reference tool — like a coding manual, but faster. It's hardcoded to the official CMS X12 CARC/RARC database, so it doesn't "make things up" the way general AI chatbots can.
That said, it does not submit or modify claims. Your biller still reviews the output and makes the final decision. Every response includes a verification notice. The liability model is identical to any reference book on your shelf — it gives guidance, you apply professional judgment.
If you ever get a response that seems off, let us know at support@denialdecoder.xyz. We investigate every report.
If you were charged in error or believe there was a billing mistake, contact us at support@denialdecoder.xyz within 7 days of the charge and we'll make it right.
For standard cancellations, your subscription stays active through the end of your current billing cycle. No partial-month refunds are issued — but you keep full access until the period ends. Cancel anytime through your Stripe billing portal, no questions asked.
You can cancel directly through your Stripe billing portal — no phone call, no "retention specialist," no guilt trip. If you can't find the link, email support@denialdecoder.xyz and we'll cancel it for you within one business day.
We don't make it hard to leave. If the tool isn't saving you time or money, you shouldn't be paying for it. It's that simple.
First, check if Telegram itself is working — try sending a message to anyone else. If Telegram is down, our bot goes down with it (we can't control that).
If Telegram is working but the bot isn't responding, try these quick fixes:
1. Type /start to restart the conversation.
2. Make sure you're messaging @MDCDenialBot (not a similarly-named bot).
3. Check if you've hit your plan's monthly limit.
If none of that works, email support@denialdecoder.xyz with a screenshot and your Telegram username. We'll get you back up fast.
Prefer email? Write to us directly at support@denialdecoder.xyz — same 1-business-day response.
